Who We Are

We are Kevin & Barb Sisti. Both of us have spent years working within global Christian missions, ministries, systems, and paradigms. But God called us out of the organizations and into the desert—a literal desert—for a season alone with Him and His Word, where He began stripping away the things that were not of Him.

Away from the noise, we had time to simply read the Scriptures and wrestle with the striking contrast between what is written in His Word and so much of what we see displayed on the platforms, promotions, and movements of our day. More importantly, the desert taught us that the answer isn't another system, movement, or ministry. The answer is Jesus.

Now we are leaving the desert and stepping into the wilderness, walking a narrow road—a Pilgrim Road. We don't pretend to have everything figured out; we simply love Jesus, want to know Him through His Word, and desire to walk as He walked. We invite you to walk this road with us—eyes off the world, eyes off the systems, and eyes fixed on Jesus.

Kevin's Story

For much of my life, I was trying to build something for myself. Even when Christianity and ministry were part of my life, I can see now that my heart was often still focused on my kingdom, my success, and my way. I pursued business, money, relationships, and eventually alcohol, believing that each might give me the life I was looking for. Instead, addiction eventually cost me my businesses, two marriages, relationships with people I loved, and nearly everything I had. I went from success and possessions to wandering the streets, sleeping on park benches, and eventually sleeping on the kitchen floor of a homeless shelter. At 57 years old, I finally came to the end of myself. During a simple church service, the Lord brought me to genuine repentance, and I understood that I didn't simply need better circumstances or freedom from alcohol—I needed a new heart. I needed Jesus. Everything I had spent my life trying to build for myself had to die so that I could surrender my life to Him.

Today, I don't share this story because I have an impressive résumé or because I want anyone to follow me. Quite the opposite. My past reminds me how desperately I needed—and still need—the grace of God. I share it because Jesus Christ is real, and He still changes hearts. If He could reach me after decades of running, striving, failing, and addiction, He can reach anyone. And that is why my message today is not “look at what happened to Kevin.” It is look at Jesus. Whether you've spent your life chasing the things of this world or you've found yourself chasing Christian personalities, ministries, movements, and platforms, come back to Him. Repent, believe, open His Word, and follow the Jesus of Scripture.

Barb and I don't want anyone elevating us as flawed humans—we want to walk beside other pilgrims while pointing to the One who saved me and gave me new life: not a church, not a man, not a movement, not a ministry—Jesus Christ. Look at Jesus.

Barb's Story

I grew up knowing the Lord and loving His Word, but my journey has been one of continually learning that Jesus cannot be reduced to a denomination, a movement, a ministry, or a religious system. From my Lutheran upbringing, through college and a season of questioning, I studied other religions and holy books because I genuinely wanted to know what was true—even if the truth required me to change what I believed. Yet through all of that searching, I simply could not escape the reality of Jesus Christ. Eventually the Lord led me into ministry and global missions, and for many years I traveled the world, living by faith and watching Him provide in ways I could never have orchestrated myself. But one of the deepest lessons He taught me was that even work done for God can become our own striving. I remember sensing Him say, “I'm not in this,” as I exhausted myself trying to accomplish something for Him. He began teaching me that I didn't have to make things happen for God—I needed to trust Him, obey Him, and allow His grace rather than my own works to carry me. Over the years, He has repeatedly stripped away my independence and taught me that His Word must remain my plumb line—not experiences, personalities, ministries, denominations, or even things I believe I hear from Him.

When I look back now, the thread running through my entire life isn't really missions, ministry, the prophetic, traveling to nations, living by faith, or even the remarkable ways God eventually brought Kevin and me together. The thread is the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. He has been faithful when I understood what He was doing and when I didn't; when people were present and when they walked away; when I was strong and when I was a mess. More than anything, I want people to know the Jesus I have come to love—the Jesus revealed in Scripture, our hope in an increasingly dark world, and the One worthy of our complete trust and devotion. My testimony isn't ultimately about what I have done for God; it is about what He has done in me and how faithfully He has carried me. My prayer is that my story would never cause someone to look at me, a ministry, or a movement, but would cause them to look upward and see Jesus for who He truly is: majestic, sovereign, merciful, faithful, kind, Creator, Father, and King.

Greetings Fellow Pilgrims

We are pilgrims and sojourners, walking by faith on the narrow road, knowing that this world is not our home. Though we see through a glass darkly, we walk with our eyes fixed on Jesus—the Author and Finisher of our faith. Welcome to Pellegrino Walk. Come walk the road with us.

The Pilgrim Road

We Live and Walk by Faith

Pellegrino Walk is not an entity or an organization—it is a description of us and the way we have chosen to walk. We are simply Kevin & Barbara, following Jesus on this pilgrim road by faith and trusting Him to provide for whatever He calls us to do.

The Lord has made something very simple and clear to us: if He wants us to have something, He will put it in our hands.

Because of that, we don't want to strive, pressure, or persuade anyone to support us. We simply trust the Lord to prompt those whom He desires to give.

If the Lord is leading you to walk alongside us through financial support, you can give using the link below or contact us at the email below for other options. We are grateful for your generosity and, above all, for your prayers as we continue following wherever Jesus leads.
